Ever since iOS 13 was released a new feature was introduced: ”Optimized Battery Charging”. This feature has been designed to increase the life span of the battery. The software uses machine learning to keep a track of your charging habits and waits to finish charging past 80%. While Optimized Battery Charging can be helpful, it has disadvantages regarding having your battery fully charged upon demand. So by disabling this setting, the problem can be solved. In order to do so go to ”Settings” → ”Battery” → ”Battery Health” → ”Optimized Battery Charging” and disable this feature.

MFi-certified stand for “Made for iPhone” certified. Apple has developed a testing program that tests whether cables from other manufacturers work well with Apple products. Products that test well are safe for your Apple device and therefore receive MFI certification. Our Apple Watch chargers are for instance MFi-certified and contain an official MFi chip. No. MagSafe has been available since 2020 (for Apple users from iPhone 12). Qi2 is a wireless charging standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). It is an open standard supported by a wide range of manufacturers. Both MagSafe and Qi2 are wireless charging technologies that use magnetic rings to position the smartphone on the charger.
