From a bold idea to the global standard
Fifteen years ago, wireless charging was something people talked about as if it might arrive “someday”. Hardly any phones supported it, the market was still taking shape, and the concept needed explaining again and again. Yet in 2011, Erik and Johan Plasmans made a clear choice: if this is the future, we’re going to build it. Always a Zens nearby.

2011
The beginning of Zens
Founded in 2011, Zens entered the market as a true pioneer. We were the first in Europe and Asia to launch a Qi-certified wireless charger, along with a unique MFi/Qi charging case for the iPhone 4. This marked the beginning of our mission to lead the way in wireless charging innovation.
2014
Tech meets furniture
In 2014, Zens introduced the PuK wireless charger: an innovative solution designed for seamless integration into office and hospitality furniture. Built to meet the highest furniture standards, the PuK fits invisibly into any material or surface. This solution allows guests to charge their phones effortlessly while watching a game, attending an event, or working at their desk.
2019
Global media recognition
In 2019, Zens made headlines worldwide with the launch of the Liberty Glass: a wireless charger featuring 16 overlapping coils, allowing true freedom of placement. This groundbreaking innovation was widely recognised as the most credible alternative to Apple’s cancelled AirPower project, reinforcing Zens' position at the forefront of wireless charging technology.
2020
The rise of MagSafe and a global Apple partnership
In 2020, Apple introduced MagSafe for iPhone 12, enabling 15W magnetic wireless charging and making wireless power even more accessible and user-friendly. Just two years later, Zens partnered with Apple globally, launching three modular chargers in Apple’s stores: a major milestone in our journey of innovation.
2022
Smarter workspaces with Zens Desk Management System
In 2022, Zens introduced Zens Desk Management System, combining wireless charging with smart data integration. Designed for modern offices, it enables effortless charging while providing insights into desk usage and occupancy. A smart, connected solution for future-ready workspaces.
2023
Qi2: a universal step forward
In 2023, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), of which Zens is an active member, announced Qi2, the next-generation wireless charging standard. Based on Apple’s MagSafe technology, Qi2 brings magnetic alignment and 15W fast charging to all brands. A major shift in the future of wireless charging.
2025
Designed to empower families
In 2025, Zens launched the Quattro Charger Pro 4, the first wireless charger that can charge four phones at once. Praised as the perfect solution for families to unplug and spend meaningful time together. It continues Zens’ tradition of innovation: creating products that don’t just charge, but also support a more balanced way of living.
