Finance & Office Administrator

24–32 hours per week

Are you great with numbers, do you enjoy keeping track of things, and do you find it satisfying when everything is well organised? Then this wide-ranging role at Zens is for you.

As a Finance & Office Administrator, you’ll keep our financial records in order and provide practical support to the office and your colleagues. Finance is at the heart of your role, but your work extends far beyond that. You’ll process invoices, prepare financial data, organise business travel and help colleagues with practical queries. We’re therefore not looking for a pure finance specialist, but a versatile and independent go-getter who works accurately, adapts easily and enjoys taking on responsibility.

What will you be doing?

  • Handling day-to-day financial administration, including processing incoming invoices, payments, accounts receivable management and tax returns.
  • Preparing financial statements and providing the necessary data for month-end closings, analyses and management reports.
  • Monitoring outstanding customer receivables, sending payment reminders and, where necessary, following up on overdue payments by telephone.
  • Handling personnel administration, including contracts, changes to employment details, leave, joining and leaving the company, and personnel files.
  • Supplying personnel and payroll data to the external payroll service and checking that it has been processed correctly.
  • Carrying out practical office and facilities-related tasks, such as business travel, staff outings and lunches, and maintaining contact with suppliers and external partners, including our IT partner.
  • Identifying bottlenecks, resolving these independently where possible, and coordinating structural or more complex issues with the Financial Controller.

This is a 24–32-hour-per-week role, with flexible working hours, for example during school hours!

What do you bring to the role?

You take pride in ensuring everything is in order, both financially and organisationally. You work accurately and in a structured manner, maintain an overview and tackle tasks independently, proactively and practically. You are approachable and enjoy interacting with people both within and outside the organisation.

You do not need to be an HR, IT or office specialist, but you take responsibility for your area of work and ensure that tasks are handled and completed properly. You switch easily between administrative tasks, liaising with colleagues and practical office duties. In doing so, you handle confidential financial and personnel information with care.

In addition, you will bring the following:

  • MBO+ / HBO level of working and thinking, preferably in a financial or business economics field.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience in financial administration, preferably in a broad administrative role.
  • Experience in preparing financial data for periodic closings and reports.
  • Good digital skills and experience with Excel, MS Office and, preferably, ERP systems.
  • A good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

What do we offer you?

Working at Zens means working in a fun, informal environment. As well as working hard and achieving success together, we also place great value on fun and relaxation. And, of course, you can count on excellent terms of employment:

  • A competitive salary, commensurate with your experience
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Laptop and mobile phone
  • 30 days’ annual leave for a good work-life balance
  • The opportunity to work out for free at the fitness centre on the High Tech Campus
  • Discounts on Zens’s fantastic products
  • A Benefits at Work membership with great discounts
